The Hawaii Air National Guard will be the first Guard unit to actually own F-22s, with the unit being an associate with the active duty Air Force. The combination of stealth, integrated avionics and supercruise drastically shrinks the possibility of surface-to-air missile engagement and minimizes enemy capabilities to track and engage the F22.
