Hawai‘i National Guard Joint Resiliency Directorate

The Resiliency Directorate was established within the J9 Joint Assessment, Support and Outreach Directorate. Its mission is to empower Service Members, retirees, veterans and their families to support their resilience and growth by providing education, resources, and assistance tailored to the unique demands of today’s military way of life. The embedded programs continue to strengthen family readiness by increasing awareness of benefits, privileges, and obligations of National Guard service; creating support systems during separations; offering information and referral services; enhancing retention; and providing feedback to command on family member concerns.

Resiliency Directorate

Responsible for 3-5 major functions and provides statewide policy, guidance, leadership, management, and oversight of service member, family, contractor, and employee programs, policies, and plans. Provides guidance to both Army and Air National Guard. State programs may include Violence Prevention, Family Programs, Resilience and Risk Reduction, Yellow Ribbon, Transition Assistance, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Outreach, Religious Support, Behavioral Health, Children Youth, Youth Challenge, and Wellness.
