State Temporary Shelter Options for Individuals and Families Displaced by the March Kona Storms

Oʻahu:

  • Temporary sheltering is available on a limited basis at Schofield Barracks Hotel through April 30.
    • Those requesting a stay will need to register below and submit additional background check information including Driver’s License, Social Security Number, and Birthdate, after being contacted by a representative from the State.
  • The state is exploring additional temporary sheltering and housing programs for displaced residents on island.
  • Inform the state if you need sheltering or housing assistance by following the “How to Apply” instructions below.

Maui Nui:

  • Interim temporary solutions have been identified.
  • The state is exploring additional temporary sheltering and housing programs for displaced residents on island.
  • Inform the state if you need sheltering and housing assistance by following the “How to Apply” instructions below.

Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Counties:

  • The state is examining sheltering and housing options for displaced residents in other counties.
  • Inform the state if you need sheltering and housing by following the “How to Apply” instructions below.

All Counties:

  • The state is working with Counties and Community-Based Organizations to assess availability for short-term rental options. More information will become available shortly.

  1. Call 211 and speak with an agent to let them know you are in need of temporary shelter or housing
