HONOLULU — The state of Hawaiʻi Joint Information Center (JIC) has concluded operations as of 6 p.m. on September 8, 2026. It was activated to support coordinated media operations following Hurricane Lowell.
Members of the media are encouraged to direct any future inquiries related to weather impacts, response efforts and recovery activities to the appropriate state and county agency public information offices.
The JIC phone number and email will not continue to be actively monitored.
