STATE DEACTIVATES JOINT INFORMATION CENTER FOR SEVERE WEATHER EVENT 

HONOLULU — The state of Hawaiʻi Joint Information Center (JIC) has now concluded operations. It was activated to support coordinated media operations during the April Severe Weather event. 

Members of the media are encouraged to direct any future inquiries related to weather impacts, response efforts and recovery activities to the appropriate state and county agency public information offices. 

The JIC phone number and email will continue to be actively monitored.
