Mundon
Also, Jennifer J. Mundon came on board as the OVS director’s secretary. She coordinates the director’s correspondence and schedule, as well as assists the OVS counselors. When not pursuing her bachelor of arts degrees she plays tennis, raquetball, jogs, or relaxes with a Stephen King novel. Ms. Mundon has two sons, Kimo, 16 and Keola, 14
Takemoto
Takemoto. Joining the Office of Veterans Service (OVS) staff as veterans’ affairs counselors are Manuel Corregedore (Kauai), Tai Soon Lee (Oahu), William Staton (Maui) and Patrick Pavao (Hawaii).

Carswell J. Ross Jr
Carswell J. Ross Jr., is the Office of Veterans’ Services coordinator. He supervises the service staffs of each county, assisting them m developing and maintaining a statewide information, referral and service delivery system for veterans, their families, and dependants. Ross was previously with the Office of the Governor as an evaluation analyst with the Executive Office of Aging. Whether it’s at work or at home, Ross is able to utilize his Master of Arts degree in psychology, with a major m counseling and guidance. He also serves as Tech. Sgt. Ross, drug and alcohol noncommissioned officer, with the Hawaii Air National Guard’s 154th Mission Support Squadron. When not helping others, Ross plays tennis or golf or spends time with his family. He and his wife, Caroline, have two children, Skyler, 5 and Darcelle, 2.

POW RECOGNITION-Gov. John Waihee (center) recognized former prisoners of war (POWs); from left to right: William Paty, Bernard K. Santa Maria, Frank D. Padgett, Brewster Morgan, Lt. Col. Melvin K. Matsui, and Tom Y. Kobashigawa. After signing a proclamation recognizing military POWs and missing-in-action (MIAs), the governor pinned medals on the former POWs.
