Colonel Promotions

- LTC Roy Macaraeg The former 487th Field Artillery commander is attending Army War College and will graduate in July. His next assignment will be at the National Guard Bureau J8, where he served earlier in his career.
- Lt Col Brian Buhler leads the Human Resource Office. He recently transferred to the Hawai‘i Air National Guard after serving with the Wisconsin Air National Guard in Madison. He is awaiting his pinning ceremony.
Four Hawai’i Air National Guard officers received their promotion certificates that are good for two years. They await transfer into a colonel’s billet for their promotion.
- David Kashiwamura continues to serve as the commander of the 292d Combat Communications Squadron on Maui.
- Kurt Shigeta serves as an Intel officer serving with the 154th Operations Support Squadron, part of the 154th Wing.
- Erik Wong serves with the 154th Medical Group but began his officer career in the 154th Civil Engineer Squadron.
- Kyle Yanagisawa serves as the Commander of the 154th Air Operations Squadron, which is part of the 109th Air Operations Group. He served with the 169th Aircraft Control & Warning Squadron for most of his career.
