Taps: Herbert Takao “Taka” Ota

Herbert Takao “Taka” Ota, 86, of Kaneohe, a retired certified welder for Industrial Welding Inc. and a Hawaii National Guard veteran, passed away on January 28, 2016 in Honolulu. He was born in Waipouli, Kauai.

He is survived by wife Patsy R., daughters Jo Ann Ota-Young and Lila Ota, sister Florence “Nano” Kato and two grandchildren.

Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23 at Parker United Methodist Church, Kaneohe. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Valley of the Temples.
