Taps: Leslie Walker “Les” Stewart Jr.
Posted on Sep 14, 2015 in TapsLeslie Walker “Les” Stewart Jr., 70, of Wahiawa, a retired chief of Army casualty and mortuary affairs and the Army Mortuary, and a U.S. government embalmer, passed away on August 18, 2015. He was also and retired Army sergeant first class and Hawaii Army National Guard command sergeant major. He was born in Honolulu.
He is survived by wife Haroldine “Dee”; stepsons Derwin, Dustin and Dwight Gilman; hanai son Daniel Gilman; daughters Celeste Pagan and Carice Carrizosa; stepdaughter Darnell Maluyo; hanai daughter Deidreana Maluyo-Gilman; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Oahu Cemetery Chapel. Services: 11:30 a.m. Committal services: 2 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. No flowers. Online condolences: oahumortuary.com.
