This undated photograph shows the 154th Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron training office. MSgt Ignacio Gabriel, Jr. was the NCOIC and Carole Fukuda – now Carole Yoshikane – was then a Traditional Guardmember.
This photograph was probably taken in the mid-to-late 1980s because Gabe retired in 1988. Early in his career, Gabe was the unit photographer and many of the old black and white photographs featured in Retiree News were taken by him. Gabe passed in 2017 at the age of 89.
Gabe’s son Richard Gabriel served in the HIANG on the fighter flight line. He passed in the early 2000s after facing medical challenges.
Carole later became a fulltime technician and served many years in the maintenance complex.
