Taps: Galen Nakahara

Retiree News sadly reports the passing of Galen Nakahara on Monday, April 30.

Galen served his career in the the 201st Combat Communications Group. He ran the front office for many commanders over the years.

He will be remembered for his love of music. He had extensive CD collection ant there was always music playing his office. He enjoyed playing softball and helped organize unit teams for tournaments.

Galen’s daughter Heather posted the following on his Facebook page:

To all of my Dad’s FB friends, I’m sorry to have to tell you that my Dad passed on early yesterday morning. I’m very happy, though, to tell you that he knew it was his time, decided to embrace his last journey, and was completely at pease in his final hours.
