Laura Soares becomes the HING’s First Female AGR Colonel

Congratulations to the Hawaii National Guard’s newest colonel, Laura Soares!
On December 5, 2017, MG Arthur “Joe” Logan administering the oath of office in a small private ceremony in his office. Her promotion is retroactive to September 25, 2017. Colonel Soares is the first Active Guard Reserve (AGR) colonel is the Hawaii National Guard.
Colonel Soares has served in many positions in her Hawaii Army National Guard career. She is currently the Human Resources Officer (federal) for the Hawaii National Guard.
