We ran into Sandy Hashimoto in the Hickam commissary. She retired from the Human Resource Office (HRO) in July 2015.
Through her years of service, Sandy helped Guard technicians as they retired from Hawaii National Guard. She shared her Sandy extensive knowledge of the retirement rules and procedures with technicians as they processed their retirement packages.
Thanks again to Sandy for her service to all the technician retirees.
While visiting the Guard Headquarters at Diamond Head, we met Thomas Mau. Tom was a Hawaii Air National Guard officer who spent his entire career as a weather officer. When he retired, he was lieutenant colonel and the commander of the 199th Weather Flight.
Currently, Tom continues his civilian career with the Navy. He was at Fort Ruger for an offsite VTC training class. He indicated he has a few more years before he can retire.
Great seeing Tom – first time since he retired several years ago.
