Check Six: 1986 NGAUS Conference – 31 years ago

The 1986 National Guard Association of the United States conference was held in Nashville, Tennessee.  It was a three-day conference running from September 30 – October 2, 1986 at the Opryland Hotel.

The photograph of the Hawaii National Guard officers in the photograph above is from the All-States Dinner on the final night. At the dinner, Secretary of the Army John O. Marsh Jr., the Sectary of the Army received the Harry S. Truman Award for distinguished service in support of the national defense.
