Retiree Update: Edmund “Fred” Hyun
Posted on Sep 7, 2016 in Retiree UpdateGovernor David Y. Ige has appointed Edmund “Fred” Hyun as the Interim Chairman of the Hawaii Paroling Authority.
During the 2017 Legislative session, the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor will hold an “advise and consent” hearing to review Fred’s qualifications and take testimony from the public. A full Senate confirmation floor vote will follow the hearing.
Fred retired after many years of service in the State Department of Public Safety. After his retirement, he worked as an administrator with the City & County of Honolulu’s Liquor Commission.
Fred retired from the Air Guard after many years of service with the 293rd Combat Communications Squadron and the Hq, 201st Combat Communications Group.
