Taps: Flordelino Asuncion Miguel

Flordelino Asuncion Miguel, 90, of Hilo, a retired division head of assessing and appraisal for the state Department of Taxation, a Hawaii Army National Guard retiree and an Army veteran who served in the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment during World War II, died on June 24, 2016. He was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

He is survived by wife Felipa; daughters Marie and Sister Patricia Miguel, Eileen Durham and Doreen Uhlmann; sons Robert, Mario and Matthew; sister Jo Segovia; brother Roger Grande; two half sisters; a half brother; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation: 6 p.m. July 6 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. July 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
