Taps: Joseph Mattos

Joseph Mattos, 85, of Hawi, Hawaii, a project coordinator at Lapakahi State Historical Park, a Castle & Cooke supervisor at Kohala Sugar Plantation and Hawaii National Guard veteran, passed away in North Hawaii Community Hospital on July 13, 2015. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii.

He is survived by sons Wendell and Wesley; brothers Herbert and Robert; sisters Dorothy Mattos, Mildred Hart and Joann Cruse; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, Kapaau. Services: 11 a.m. Aloha attire.
