Taps: Robert Lawrence Cookman

Robert Lawrence Cookman, 62, of Kamuela, Hawaii, a stevedore for McCabe Hamilton & Renny and Matson Navigation, and a veteran of the Army and Army National Guard, passed away in Kamuela on May 11, 2015. He was born in Honolulu.

He is survived by wife Alita-Ray; sons No’eau, O’liko and Kamahoi; father Frances Earl Smith; brother Taylor Smith; sisters Laurie and Joanna Smith; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Scattering of ashes: 9 a.m. June 6 at LST Kawaihae. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. at Hale Laiana, on the grounds of Imiola Church. Casual attire. Lei and loose flowers welcome.
