John Nehemia Kaina Jr., 49, of Kāne‘ohe, a retired Hawai‘i Army National Guard sergeant and a Star Com Construction Co. painter, passed away on November 27, 2014. He was born in Honolulu.

He is survived by hanai daughter Maka, hanai son Alii, mother Barbara, sister Jonnetta Peters and hanai brother Randy Lum.
