A standout achievement was HING’s pivotal support in fire response and recovery through Operation Ho‘opauahi, which dramatically reduced response times by allocating dedicated funding in advance. This enabled helicopter crews on O‘ahu and Hawai‘i islands to maintain constant standby status, allowing for swift action against multiple Kunia Road fires, the Mana Road fire, and the Kaala fire. In total, these crews flew 67 hours and delivered 265,448 gallons of water, underscoring HING’s critical impact in containing disasters and protecting vulnerable areas.
