Predecessors
Based on available historical publications, Hawaiʻi Air National Guard newsletters, retiree news periodicals, and State of Hawaii Department of Defense annual reports, the first formally identified Senior Enlisted Advisor was appointed in January 1979. Earlier Chief Master Sergeants served within the Hawaiʻi Air National Guard but are not confirmed to have served in the headquarters advisory role.
