HAWAIʻI ARMY NATIONAL GUARD CONVOYS ON OʻAHU’S ROADS
What: Military Vehicle Convoys
When: May 12-23, 2025
Where: On Oʻahu, there will be three routes
- From Wahiawā armory: H2 southbound, H1 eastbound and townbound on Nimitz Highway to Waiakamilo Road
- From Kalaeloa: Fort Barrette Road, H1 eastbound and townbound on Nimitz Highway to Waiakamilo Road
- From Wahiawā armory: H2 southbound, H1 westbound, Pearl City exit, Farrington Highway, Waipio Access Road
Who: Hawaiʻi Army National Guard (HIARNG)
Details: The HIARNG will be preparing for its annual training exercises by shipping its vehicles and equipment from Oʻahu to Hawaiʻi Island in May.
Each convoy may include different size military vehicles and trailers. There will be multiple convoys per day.
For the two routes heading to Honolulu, no more than 10 vehicles will be in each convoy and they will remain in the slower right lanes. Times for the convoys are between 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays only from 12-23 May.
For the one route heading to Waipiʻo Access Road in Waipahu, no more than 5 vehicles will be in each convoy. These convoys will occur between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on weekdays only from 12-18 May.
