STATE DEACTIVATES JOINT INFORMATION CENTER FOR KONA LOW WEATHER EVENT

HONOLULU — The state of Hawaiʻi Joint Information Center (JIC), activated to support coordinated media operations during the recent Hawaiʻi Kona Low weather event, has now concluded operations.

Effective immediately, the JIC phone number and email are no longer in service.

Members of the media are encouraged to direct any future inquiries related to weather impacts, response efforts and recovery activities to the appropriate state and county agency public information offices.
