2022 State Mass Care Training-Workshop (AM) & State Mass Care Tabletop Exercise (PM)
HI-EMA will host a Mass Care Workshop (Morning) and Tabletop Exercise (TTX) (Afternoon) on Thursday, 17 November 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Building 303. Identified county, state, nonprofit, and private sector partners will be invited to attend. There are four principal workshop learning objectives:
- Become familiar with the primary elements of Mass Care/Emergency Assistance (MC/EA) response management.
- Receive information around MC/EA planning considerations.
- Know the primary tasks required in MC/EA during disaster response.
- Be able to assess current MC/EA capacity & constraints.
The principal objectives of the TTX are to test information in county plans and the state ESF 6 Annex by:
- Reviewing the roles and responsibilities of critical agencies and organizations identified in Mass Care, Sheltering, Feeding, and Distribution of Emergency Supplies.
- Assessing the shelter, feeding, and distribution of emergency supply requirements of people and pets within the community.
- Describing organized community sheltering, feeding, and distribution of emergency supply strategies and operations.
- Describing how to effectively coordinate temporary sheltering, feeding and distribution of emergency supply requirements among jurisdictions.
