Aloha & Welcome to the Hawai‘i Air National Guard!

The Hawai‘i Air National Guard (HIANG) has two missions. In performing its state mission, the HIANG provides organized, trained Units, Airmen, and Guardians to protect Hawai‘i’s citizens and property, preserve peace, and ensure public safety in response to natural or human-caused disasters. Its federal mission is to provide operationally ready combat units, combat support units, and qualified personnel for active duty in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force in time of war, national emergencies, or operational contingencies.

Commander’s Strategic Priorities

  • ‘Ohana: Encourage a positive sense of Family and Community within the HIANG.
  • Optimize: Effectively cultivate and develop our members’ experience.
  • Ready: Ensure the HIANG remains maximally ready, reliable and effective in all of its missions now and into the future.
  • Partner: Capitalize on the unique qualities and culture of our Airmen and organization.
