Colonel Willard Wayne

Wayne arrived in Hawaii in April 1913 to be City Editor Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He left this in 1915 to direct the Mid-Pacific Carnival. He was with the Territorial Department of Public Works from May 1915. In 1916 he became secretary to the Territorial Governor Lucius Pinkham and was in this position when he was appointing Acting Adjutant General then confirmed as the Adjutant General. He resigned to apply for service with the regular U.S. Army and there is no record of his activities after this.
