Are we ever going to conduct a mass AGR HT/WT screening (HIARNG)?

This comes up every year or so. I am a big fan of trusting subordinate leaders to do the right thing and do not like to undermine authority. Directing a mass screening from the TAG office is essentially saying that we can’t trust O7-O3 Commanders to follow regulation.

I have been in the AGR program for a long time and absolutely understand what you are getting at. I think a more important question to ask is how do we change our culture to be better warriors? I have seen AGRs stray from the Army Values more than a few times and NCOs forget their creed. For me, it has always been about peer accountability. Encouraging my peers to get out and do the right thing and confronting them when they don’t. Also, listening and acting when being held accountable from others.

If you are an AGR out there taking your ACFT and HT/WT in the shadows, please stop. It’s not too late to change your lifestyle. Find your discipline and go be the best version of yourself.
