DOD civilians called back to work.

Based on explicit guidance from the National Guard Bureau and the DoD, the Hawaii National Guard is recalling almost all of its federal technician workforce, beginning Monday, 7 Oct. In rare exceptions some technicians will not be recalled to work immediately. They will be notified individually by their supervisors. All other fed tech will begin reporting to work tomorrow and Tuesday. Nearly 1,000 federal technicians (full-time National Guard soldiers and airmen) were furloughed Oct. 1 due to the federal government shutdown. The recall of these federal technicians is based on the Secretary of Defense announcement that virtually all Department of Defense civilians will be recalled to work.
