State Tuition Assistance (STAP): A State funded education benefit designed to support eligible HIARNG Soldiers in pursuing post-secondary education while serving in the Selected Reserve. This program offers tuition assistance towards an undergraduate degree at the University system of schools statewide based upon funding. HIARNG Soldiers who qualify for STAP will receive tuition assistance in the form of a reimbursement payment.

Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA): A Department of Defense education benefit that helps eligible service members pay for post-secondary education while serving.

Credentialing Assistance (CA): A Department of Defense education benefit that helps eligible service members obtain professional credentials related to their military occupation or civilian career goals.

GI Bill Benefits: A Department of Veterans Affairs education benefit that helps eligible service members and veterans pay for education and training programs during or after military service. 

Transfer of Education Benefits (TEB): This program allows eligible service members to transfer unused Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits to approved family members in exchange for an additional service commitment. 

Scholarships, Financial Aid, and Education Resources: A variety of scholarships, financial aid options, and educational resources available to military members and their families. 


Incentives

Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP): The Army National Guard (ARNG) Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) is a set of authorized incentives used by the Army National Guard to support recruiting, retention, and readiness within the Selected Reserve. SRIP offers financial benefits to eligible Soldiers who enlist, reenlist, or extend their service.

Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP): An incentive designed to help eligible Soldiers repay qualifying Student loans in exchange for military service in the Army National Guard.

Blended Retirement System Continuation Pay (BRS-CP): A one-time, mid-career monetary incentive authorized under the Blended Retirement System to encourage continued service by eligible Soldiers. Continuation Pay is offered to Soldiers who are enrolled in the Blended Retirement System and who have completed the required years of qualifying service, in exchange for a monetary service obligation in the Selected Reserve.
