The Hawai‘i Army National Guard’s (HIARNG) federal mission is to serve as the Senior Army National Guard command and control element in support of the JFHQ-State for Army units assigned to the State. Provides trained, equipped and ready forces capable of mobilizing in support of both Federal and State Missions. With the concurrence the State Governor, acts as needed as a Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters under Pacific Command (PACOM) control.

It is feeling a commitment to each other as though one were actual blood relatives so as to bond the group as one spirit.

Dignity, respect the unconditional extension of trust and friendship. Taking responsibility for those to whom aloha is extended insuring their safety, well-being, and peace of mind. Also extended to places and the physical environment implying stewardship obligations as an expression of caring for the condition of such places.
