154th Wing (154th WG)

The wing is the largest of the HIANG organizations and the largest, most complex, and geographically separated wing in the entire Air National Guard. The headquarters consists of the wing commander, command chief master sergeant, wing control center, chaplain, judge advocate, military equal opportunity, plans, safety, public affairs, inspector general, and 154th Comptroller Flight.

The 154th Operations Group consists of:

  • 199th Fighter Squadron
  • 203rd Air Refueling Squadron
  • 204th Airlift Squadron
  • 154th Operations Support Squadron
  • 297th Air Traffic Control Squadron

The most diverse of the four groups, the 154th Mission Support Group provides home station support services to the entire HIANG, as well as deployable supply system, construction, security, communications and support services. The 154th Mission Support Group consists of:

  • 154th Security Forces Squadron
  • 154th Communications Squadron
  • 154th Force Support Squadron

The 154th Regional Support Group provides Combat Mission Ready Airmen to enhance warfighting capability for communications, Intelligence and Weather in the Pacific. The 154th Regional Support Group consists of:

  • 201st Intelligence Squadron
  • 199th Weather Flight
  • 291st Combat Communications Squadron
  • 292nd Combat Communications Squadron

The 154th Medical Group provides the HIANG with fixed and deployable medical and dental resources and a medical response capability to the CERFP mission.

201st Air Operations Group (201st AOG)


The 201st Air Operations Group’s subordinate units are the 201st Combat Operations Squadron and the 201st Air Mobility Operations Squadron. 201st AOG units are classic associate units of the HIANG, augmenting the Pacific Air Forces’ 613th Air Operations Center (AOC) and the 613th Air Mobility Division through the full range of combat operations. The 201st AOG is the only Air Operations Center Total Force Integration unit in the ANG, and a significant partner in the Pacific Air Operations Center Enterprise which plans and executes Air Force, joint, and combined operations to meet USINDOPACOM regional strategy and to assist in humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations.

The units are co-located with the 613th AOC at JBPH-H. The mission of the 613th is to provide command and control of real-world air, space and cyber operations in the Pacific Theater for the Commander, Air Forces forces and the Coalition or Joint Forces Air Component Commander. In the event that operations exceed the 613th’s capabilities, the HIANG Airmen will be immediately available to supplement active duty Air Force requirements.

298th Air Defense Group (298th ADG)

The 298th Air Defense Group, to include its two squadrons, the 169th Air Defense Squadron and the 298th Support Squadron protect Hawaii’s skies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They work in close collaboration with military and civilian authorities to ensure the safety of Hawaii’s airspace through constant vigilance and quick response. The partnerships with other branches of service enhance these efforts, allowing for coordinated, multi-domain defense. The State Partnership Program adds a crucial international dimension, linking us with allied nations to strengthen global security. The ADG continuously work on modernization projects to maintain an edge against evolving threats and ensure the effectiveness of air defense strategies.

Hawaii Army and Air National Guard

The Joint Staff (JFHQ-HI)

The Joint Staff coordinates planning, training, and execution of National Guard missions with other U.S. Government agencies, protects and defends the homeland and its interests; performs National Guard domestic operations to protect life and property within the state; and alongside Allies and partners, promotes security and stability in the Indo Asia-Pacific region.

93rd Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Enhanced Response Force Package (93rd CERFP)

The 93rd Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Enhanced Response Force Package is a specialized team that responds to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or High Yield Explosive incidents within FEMA Region IX, deploying within six hours of formal alert. Their primary mission is to support local, state, and federal agencies in consequence management by providing critical capabilities to operate in contaminated environments.

93rd Civil Support Team, Weapons of Mass Destruction (93rd CST WMD)

The 93rd Civil Support Team supports civil authorities at the direction of the Governor at domestic Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or High Yield Explosive incident sites by identifying agents/substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response measures, and assisting with requests for additional support in order to help save lives and minimize property damage. The Civil Support Team consists of 22 full-time National Guard personnel (18 Army / 4 Air) who are postured for immediate recall 24 / 7, primarily in a Title 32 operational status.

Counterdrug Program (CDP)

The Counterdrug Program supports Federal, State, and local Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), Community Base Organizations (CBOs), and other government agencies in their efforts to reduce the supply and demand for illicit drugs within the state. The Counterdrug Program Analyst Support section assists LEAs with criminal data analysis to detect, interdict, and curtail illicit drug trafficking activities. The Counterdrug Program Drug Demand Reduction Outreach section assists CBOs and other government agencies with training and support in leadership,  organizational analysis, planning, decision making, and interagency collaboration to reduce substance abuse and its destructive impact on our communities.
