HING Selection Board Training

The purpose of convening a selection panel for HING (AGR & Federal Technician) hiring boards is to create an impartial panel to fairly and thoroughly examine an applicant’s credentials. The selection panel is required to determine the “best qualified” applicant for an authorized vacancy within the HING. Complete their packets before the suspense date given to you by HRO; Board panel members must attend board training every 3 years.

Note: We no longer offer the Mobile Option. Please plan accordingly and come to the scheduled Board Training. (Dates are listed below.) You may contact HRO for a roster of individuals qualified to sit on your board or to be a Board Recorder.

Deadline: 1700 on the Friday prior to training date.

* Registrations after 1700 on the Friday prior to training date may or may not receive the emailed link to Selection Board Training.

HING HRO SELECTION BOARD TRAINING

Request must be submitted NLT 1700 on the Thursday prior to the training date. All classes are currently in person only. Location of classes are in USPFO-HI BLDG 114 Kapolei, HING Office at Diamond Head, or JBPHH on a rotational basis. For those not located on Oahu, please specify so in the comments box to coordinate MS Teams presentation for the date selected. MS Teams is not currently offered for personnel located on Oahu due to the type of training. Course instructor will provide details such as the confirmed location and time the Monday prior to start date. Class is approx. 60-90 min. (Dependent on class size)

IMPORTANT: Selection Board Training is now scheduled Quarterly! Please fill and submit this form on a non-government networked device (personal smartphone, personal laptop, etc.)

Request must be submitted NLT 1700 on the Friday prior to the training date.

All classes are currently in person only.

Location of classes are HIARNG in Kapolei, Pearl City, or JBPHH on a rotational basis. For those not located on Oahu, please specify so in the comments box for alternate training arrangements.

Course instructor will provide details the Monday prior to start date. Please expect an email the Monday afternoon prior to the selected training date with the confirmed location and time.
