The ultimate purpose of Hawaii’s war memorials is to honor those who made the supreme

sacrifice in defense of our country’s freedom. The goal of the Hawaii State-County Veterans’

Cemetery system is to provide final resting place for veterans and their eligible family members.

The report includes ratings for each of the eight State veteran cemeteries, eleven State

memorial sites honoring our veterans and one veterans home. Seven of the above mentioned

sites are located on Oahu, seven on Hawaii, one each on the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai

and three on Kauai.
