Training Year-Round

As 2016 comes to a close…the people of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency are already gearing up for the challenges of 2017. During the past year Hawaii-EMA, which serves as the coordinating agency for the four counties during times of emergencies and disasters, activated its Emergency Operating Center three times. Residents may recall Tropical Storm Darby forced the closing of the H-1 Freeway…and a double whammy from Hurricanes Lester and Madeline had island residents bracing for extreme conditions on Labor Day. The men and women of Hawaii-EMA train year-round so they can respond quickly and efficiently when necessary. Visit one of our training sessions.
