Course Description

HIANG 101 – Airman Professional Development Course: This course is designed to introduce members to life as an Air National Guardsman. It covers foundational instruction for newly accessed Airmen to establish a baseline across a myriad of subject matter. This is an entry level course that focuses on developing first-term Airman as they establish themselves as Guardsmen.

 HIANG NCO Professional Development Course: This course provides a structured learning environment where students and facilitators lean on shared personal experiences to transform NCO’s leadership skills. This course focuses on establishing a mentorship program that combines the Airman Leadership Academy and the CMSAF’s Enlisted Airman Continuum initiative. This curriculum will facilitate the development of NCOs into strong leaders, helping them find and/or solidify their purpose and personal leadership philosophy. The focus is to discover and articulate the five pillars of
R-E-A-C-H: • Relationships • Expectations • Academics • Character • Health

 HIANG SNCOA Transition Course: This course focuses on defining what is means to be a SNCO Guardsman. Designed primarily for newly minted MSgts or those about to pin-on; this course strives to introduce member’s to the “What Now” feeling of becoming a SNCO through interactive facilitation. Students will cover expectations of a SNCO, the Art of Delegating, Effective Staffing for managing/leading their Airmen as they develop an understanding of their new role of managing people and processes.

 HIANG Senior Enlisted Airmanship Course: This course promotes dialogue with Senior Enlisted Leaders (E8s/E9s) regarding the HIANG Professional Development Continuum. It is designed to challenge, encourage and motivate future Senior Enlisted Airmen to embrace change and be more adaptive in promoting diversity of thought while addressing current and future capability challenges.
