STEP 1:  Complete Mentor Application:

You will be contacted for a telephone interview

STEP 2:  Schedule your required Mentor Training

Complete Mentor Training Test prior & bring with you on your Mentor Training date

 

STEP 3:  Attend your scheduled Mentor Training

Mentor training will consist of:

  • Discussing the duties and responsibilities of being a mentor
  • Complete additional paperwork
  • Conduct background check & fingerprinting
  • Mentor & Mentee Match-up Ceremony
  • Lunch with your Mentee

Please bring your Photo I.D. for background & fingerprinting

Directions to YCA Mentor Training

PROCEED TO PHASE 1

PHASE 1: Residential

  • Contact your Mentee once a week
    • Attend On-Site Mentor Visits
    • Talk on the phone with your Mentee during allotted times
  • Write Letters to your Mentee
  • Attend Post Residential Brief
  • Attend their Graduation
