Mentors DO Make a Difference!!!

Mentors are

    • People of Positive Influence in a Young Person’s Life
    • Always Open to Growth and New Ideas from Hawaii’s Youth
    • Living Examples of a Drug & Crime Free Life 

Mentors need to

    • Pass a police records check (no DUIs, felonies, sex crimes, and alcohol or substance abuse within the last 5 years).
    • Provide 2 favorable character references.
    • Not be a parent/guardian 
    • Not be a resident in the same household as their mentee.
    • Be the same gender as their mentee
    • Have similar interests
    • Live within a close geographical location, if possible.
    • An example of maturity
    • Be 23 Years or Older
