STEP 1:  Schedule an orientation with the Admissions Office:

STEP 2:  Attend your scheduled orientation

Bring or submit the following documents for Applicant:

  • Completed Application (PDF fillable)
  • Government Issued ID (State ID, Driver’s License, Military ID, or Passport)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • I-94 Card or equivalent for Non-US Citizens
  • Medical Insurance Card

PROCEED TO PHASE 1


PHASE 1:  Scholarship Interview (Date will be given to you at Orientation)

PHASE 2:  Attend Endurance Events

Dates:

    • September 30th, 2022 @0600 (6:00 a.m.)
    • October 28th, 2022 @0630 (6:30 a.m.)
    • November 18th, 2022 @0630 (6:30 a.m.)
    • December 23rd, 2022 @0630 (6:30 a.m.)

PHASE 3:  Selection Process

    • Review Board
    • Acceptance Letter (All potential candidates will be notified of acceptance and invited to the Scholarship Award Ceremony)

PHASE 4:  Attend Scholarship Award Ceremony & Final Endurance

Step 1: Sign up for an Orientation

Step 2: Attend an Orientation

Dates:

  • September 5th, 2022 @1800 (6pm)
  • October 17th, 2022 @1000 (10am)
  • November 7th, 2022 @1800 (6pm)
  • December 5th, 2022 @1000 (10am)
  • January 9th, 2023 @1800 (6pm)

  • Completed Application – signed by candidate and all custodial parents/guardians
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • I-94 Card or equivalent for Non-US Citizens
  • Medical Insurance Card

Step 3: Ohana Interview

Bring or submit the following:

  • Juvenile Criminal Report (This is REQUIRED for all applicants. Requests are processed at your Family Court)
  • Enrollment Agreement (Completed/Signed by applicant and all custodial parents/guardians)
  • Parent Questionnaire, Custody, 911 Contact form (Completed/Signed by all custodial parents/guardians)
  • Medical Provider forms (Please fill out parent/guardian sections ONLY, take to medical appointments. Completed/Signed forms)
  • Medical Aid Station, Consent to Administer Rx (Completed/Signed all custodial parents/guardians)
  • 4140 (Please fill out and submit a copy to YCA but do NOT send to current/previous school until instructed)
  • Family Tree Project (Completed/Signed by applicant and all custodial parents/guardians)
  • Waivers (Completed/Signed by all custodial parents/guardians)

Step 4: Attend an Endurance Event (Hilo Schedule)

Dates:

  • September 7th, 2022 @1530 (3:30pm)
  • October 19th, 2022 @1530 (3:30pm)
  • November 9th, 2022 @1530 (3:30pm)
  • December 7th, 2022 @1530 (3:30pm)
  • January 11th, 2023 @1530 (3:30pm)

Selection Process


Step 1: Review Board

  • Team leads in all departments will review each candidate that have successfully completed all steps in the Application process.

Step 2: Letters of Acceptance

  • Sent via email and/or USPS to candidates that are selected

Step 3: Ohana Decisions

Deadlines to accept invitation to attend YCA Hilo:
