This photograph shows Louis Macknik, a member of the then-201st Combat Communications Flight (now the 292nd Combat Communications Squadron). The unit provide communications services supporting bare base operations at Chong Ju AB, Korea during Team Spirit 84.
Lou became the unit commander before his military retirement. A Traditional Guardmember, he worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) on Haleakalā. He later relocated to the continent to pursue a job opportunity.
