Education center reflects on 50 years: Part One – ‘Before him, there was nothing’

Many HIANG members chose to attend the five-and-a-half-week course in-residence NCO Academy. For some it was a quicker way to meet the Professional Military Education (PME) requirement than the correspondence course.
This article mentions that the SMSgt Cornwal Matsusaka‘s design was selected for the TEC official emblem. “Matsu” was a member of the HIANG who served as a technician for many years; he retired as a chief master sergeant.
The I.G. Brown Training and Education Center (TEC) celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
In honor of a half-century of learning, this feature series highlights TEC, from its first classes in a World War II-era aircraft hangar to the present day.
