Check Six: Brig Gen Wyrick Promotion Ceremony – One year ago
Posted on Nov 4, 2017 in 2010's, Check SixBrigadier General (Dr.) Brett Wyrick was promoted on November 4, 2016 – the Hawaii Air National Guard’s 70th Birthday. The promotion ceremony was held at Washington Place with many of his friends, and current and former Guardmembers in attendance.
Known to most as “Dugie” (his call sign), he served as a flight surgeon and later the commander of the 154th Medical Group.
During the pinning ceremony, Brig. Gen. Ryan Okahara graciously yielded to Dugie’s father, a retired fighter pilot. Dugie’s wife pinned the other shoulder.
