Youth Challenge Academy Cadets win cooking contest and receives an award from First Lady of Hawaii

Cadets from Class 56 won the Hawai‘i Team Nutrition Local Recipe contest hosted by the National School Lunch Program. Their Sweet Potato Pot Pie recipe will be used onto school lunch menus.

On May 27th, Cadet Ioane recieved an award on behalf of the Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge Academy Kalaeloa from the First Lady for his team’s Sweet Potato Pie recipe at Washington Palace.
