STEP 2: Schedule your required Mentor Training

Oahu:
– Saturday, 03/01/2025 10am-2pm
– Saturday, 03/15/2025 10am-2pm
– Sunday, 03/23/2025 10am-2pm
*Outer-Island Mentors, we will come to you! Date and time TBD*
*Background check and fingerprinting is required prior to your scheduled Mentor Training*
We will contact you to schedule this appointment.
STEP 3: Attend your scheduled Mentor Training
Mentor training will consist of:
- Discussing the duties and responsibilities of being a mentor
- Complete additional paperwork
- Mentor & Mentee Match-up Ceremony
- Lunch with your Mentee
Directions to YCA Mentor Training
PROCEED TO PHASE 1
PHASE 1: Residential
- Contact your Mentee once a week
- Attend On-Site Mentor Visits
- Talk on the phone with your Mentee during allotted times
- Write Letters to your Mentee
- Attend Post Residential Brief
- Attend their Graduation
PHASE 2: Post – Residential
- Maintain monthly contact with your Mentee (1x min.)
- Complete Monthly Mentor report
