This photograph, taken in 1980, shows a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II on the 154th Wing flightline. The 199th Fighter Squadron flew Phantoms from 1976-1987. On the cart are AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles.

Actual missile firings were restricted to specific training ranges. The weapons loader crews uploading missiles before a training flight and later downloaded them with the aircraft returned. A never ending job.
