Like so many Airman in the Hawai‘i Air National Guard, Tech. Sgt. Gina ‘Pua’ Cavaco wears many ‘hats’ while carrying out her day-to-day mission.

As a boom operator, she ensures that aircraft can traverse the wide-open globe at a moment’s notice.

As a flight attendant, she promotes safety and provides critical guidance to onboard passengers.

As a loadmaster, she secures up to 18 tons of cargo at a time, delivering much-need supplies to and from our partners.

As a support personnel for aeromedical evacuation missions, she aids medical teams as they lift patients to higher-medical care.

And as a member of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, Cavaco represents what excellence looks like in our ‘Ohana and reminds us why diversity makes us a stronger, more unified and an unrivaled force.
