Check Six – Late 1970s: 111th Army Band

This photograph shows the 111th Army Band playing in the 154th Wing’s hanger. It was probably part of a Wing Family Day.

It was early in the F-4C Phantom era (1976-1987) because you can see the temporary wooden buildings outside the hanger door.

These two buildings on the Ewa side of the hanger housed the Avionics Branch. The 1st Floor of the Makua side of the hanger renovation went on for several months before the Avionics Branch moved back into their work space.
