Big Shout-out to Airman First Class Louisa Tanigawa, who was the first new recruit to enlist with the Hawaii Air National Guard’s newly formed 293rd Space Control Squadron on Kauai back in January 2020. She is now a proud graduate of U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training and ready to service her community, state and country.
A Kauai local, Tanigawa graduated from Waimea High School while also completing 4 years of Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC).
A1C Tanigawa will be a Cyber Systems Operations Specialist (3D0X2). She’ll be responsible for designing, installing and supporting our systems to ensure they operate properly and remain secure from outside intrusion. These experts enhance our capabilities and provide us with the best and most secure systems so we can stay ahead of the curve in everything we do. Congratulations!
