In the 1970s and 80s, Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs) were filled with a heavy flying schedule with a lot of ground training. Occasionally, there was a special ceremony – like a change of command or a senior leader retirement. These ceremonies usually involved a group formation outside Building 3400.

Some of these ceremonies were followed by a party inside the hanger. Additionally, there were group wide parties hosted by Guardmembers who were recently promoted.

Guardmembers in this photograph include Donald Ho, Steven Oka, Allen Mizumoto, Norman Chang, Arthur Ishimoto.
