Check Six: PMRF Barking Sands Deployment – 53 years ago

The Hawaii Air National Guard has two annual field training periods in 1967. There was a six day spring camp in April and a six day summer camp in June. The Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) conducted a Operation Readiness Inspection in May. It was a busy year.

This photograph is from the HANG 25 booklet. There is no direct reference as to which period the photograph was taken.

Bare base operations were a standard in that era. F-102 Delta Daggers would fly over from Hickam AFB and operate out of Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Barking Sands,
