Remembering Dennis Dalen, a Hawai‘i Air National Guard member who died 22 years ago today during the Hurricane Iniki recovery mission. He was 46 and died during the storm cleanup on Kauai’s North Shore when the truck he was driving flipped as he tried to avoid live power lines. Dennis was buried the Hawai‘i State Cemetery in Kāne‘ohe.
